Security Advisor

In Sweden, the requirement to have a safety advisor applies to all modes of transport, i.e. road, rail, sea and air. The rules apply to both natural and legal persons, including authorities.

The tasks of the security advisor consist partly of ensuring routines within the business and providing the advice and guidelines needed to ensure compliance with legislation.

Who is covered by the requirement for a safety advisor and what duties are incumbent on him or her are set out in the MSB's regulations on safety advisors for dangerous goods.

MSB also has a memorandum that provides a summary of which actors should have security advisors.
